La Vida Felicidad conducts on-going recruitment efforts for volunteers in order to utilize not only the time of volunteers and interns but to establish mutually beneficial relationships with a variety of volunteers and interns to assist with service delivery and a variety of administrative assignments.

Volunteer Opportunities At La Vida

• A customized volunteer opportunity to fit your interests, talents, and skills

• Senior Companion—develop relationships with disabled and elderly persons living in their own homes through friendly visits and telephone calls

• Program Aides—various opportunities to assist our first-rate staff in our various programs including: our Adult Day Care program, our Senior Services (Home Care) Department, and our program for infants and their families, the Early Interventions Program

• Leadership and governance opportunities—serve on our Board of Directors

• Help us with our annual fundraising events that include: the Kylee Angel Project (deliver baby baskets to deserving new babies in our County); the Jump for Joy Volleyball Tournament in July each year to support Early Intervention Services in the County; Light Up a Life! candle sale fundraiser during the holiday season to raise money for our home care and adult day care programs in Valencia and Socorro Counties, as well as our Early Intervention Program; and our La Vida Loves Moms! Mother’s Day Gift Basket sale to benefit Senior Services.

• Countless other volunteer opportunities for yourself, your family, or your community organization to make a difference in the lives of some of our community’s most vulnerable persons.

 Special Events:

• Volunteers needed for our Jump for Joy Volleyball Tournament, July 15, 2007 in Los Lunas.  Need referees, field attendants, and other volunteers.  Also, we need players!  Want to have fun in the sun for a good cause?  Get a group of 12 of your favorite friends, family members, or co-workers together and help support infants with disabilities and developmental delays and their families!

• Fundraising aficionados!  Interested in helping the best non-profit organization in Valencia County?  Call Michael at 565-1614
  
   

Office Support
Provide clerical support as needed at either the Main office at 530 Sun Ranch Village Road, 555 Don Pasqual in Los Lunas or 514 Park Street in Socorro.

Internships
Provide internship to LVF in the Early Intervention Program. There are opportunities for individuals to intern in several of our departments.

Volunteers will be supervised by LVF staff when working with individuals receiving services and must go through a screening process prior to being assigned.
